It all started like this.

I'm in high school. In one of my course, we have to imagine our future and plan it. For me, it's terrible because I think at more than one future projects. How long I want to study ? Witch career is interesting me the most ? Where do I want to study ? Those are only few of the questions that come up in my head.

Choice 1: I will go in paralegal technologies to Ahuntsic College in Montreal for a 3 year program. After that, I will get a Bachelor in law at the University of Sherbrooke for three years.
Choice 2: I will go in Social Science in Saint-Hyacinthe for 2 years, then I will go to the Montreal University to get a bachelor in criminology for 3 years.
Choice 3: I will go to Ellis College in my hometown, Drummondville, in a paralegal technologies for a 3 year program. After this program, I will get a diploma in Correctional Technology.

Scene 1.

I get my paralegal diploma and now, in one month I will finish my Bachelor. I am very proud of me. However, I didn't have really finished my study. After the bachelor in law, I will have to decide if I want to become a lawyer or a notary.

Choice 1: I will get a diploma of the Barreau du Québec and I will be a lawyer. As a lawyer, I will be a Crown prosecutor for the criminel trial.
Choice 2: I will get a diploma of the Chambre des Notaires. As a notary, I will make a lot of research.
Choice 3: With my bachelor in law, I will get a job in politics.

Scene 2.

I have been working as a crown prosecutor for 5 years and I really enjoy my career. My working days are not enough long to finish everything. I like to help people and to be useful of society. My career is going well and in 2 years, when I turn 30 years old, I will buy my first house and I will get pregnant.

Scene 9.

I finished my diploma of the Chambre des Notaire 2 years ago. For 2 years, I get a lot of experience. My boyfriend is a lawyer so, we decided to open an office together. I can say that at 28 years old, I am very proud of my life. Also, I will get married next years.

Scene 16.

Last years, when I decided to go in politics, I didn't realize that it could be difficult to get a job. It takes me 8 months to get my current job. I am working for the provincial gouvernement as an advisor for education Minister. I am helping the minister to create law about education. I really my job because I know that I am playing an important place for the well-being of society.

Scene 23.

Last month, I have finished my bachelor in Criminology. I don't know exactly where I want to work.

Choice 1: I will work at the police station. I will have to help the policemen to study a murder.
Choice 2: I will work at the jail with the criminals as a person who helps the criminals to find good behavior in society. I will make them understand theirs mistakes and that theirs actions are not good.
Choice 3: I will work at the Pinel Hospital with the people with a mental illness.

Scene 24.

Now, I have been working at the Police station for 20 years so I can say that I am very passionate. Next year, I will try to get a job like a criminology teacher at the university.

Working at the jail is a rough job. Last years, I decided to change my workplace. I move to the United States of America. I have been working at the FBI for 1 year. I really enjoy my new job.

Scene 38.

Today, it's the last day of my career because I get retired. I have been working for 40 years and I really like this job since the beginning because I know that really help people to live well in society and them-self.

Scene 45.

I really get lucky because the week after I finish my program, I find a job.

Choice 1: I am actually working at the DYP to help the aggressive teenagers. With me, they have to improve ther behavior if they want to get back home.
Choice 2: I am actually working at the jail with the criminal. They have to collaborate with me because I prepare with them a rehabilitation plan. This plan will help the criminals to change theirs minds and to make them realize that they really have a place in society.
Choice 3: I am actually working with women who have a live violence by they boyfriend. These women are traumatized so I have to help them to get self-confidence.

Scene 46.

Working with the teenagers is very tough because you never know what will happen and their reaction. It's togh because you have to be more authoritarian than theirs parents. However, I will never exchange my job because the teenagers really like me because they considered me as a friend ever if I am older than them.

Scene 53.

Now, I am been working at the jail for 10 years and last years I became the department supervisor for the security. I get new taks and I better salary. I don't meet the criminal individually any more.

Scene 60.

I think I make the best decision of my life by working with battered women because I can really understand their emotions. I am a feminist person, so I know that I really play a role in their life. I try every day to improve the women conditions.

Paralegal glossary

 

Jurisprudence : It’s all the judgements who were given. It’s a source of law because all of them influence the decision of the judge. With the jurisprudence, we can see the application of the law before the trial.

Doctrine : It’s another source of law because it’s all the books and the legal works written by differents lawyer and officer of justice.

Bailiff: A state employee who is executing all judgments after trial, for example legal entry.   

Courthouse : The government place where all the legal activities are doing, for example, trial.

Lawyer : A court officer who gives legal advice, helps and represents a citizen. A lawyer have do defend his client for his benefit. The innoncence of his client must prove.

Contract : A legal document shows a legal act to accomplish. It’s written by two people.

Complainant : The person who’s making a request in court. It’s complainant versus respondent.

Verdict : A legal declaration  by the jury or judge to affirm the guilty or no guilty  of the presume accused.

Convict : When the judge or jury are saying the guilty of a person and are explaining the consequences of the decision.

Criminel Code : The book who  edicted  and described all the law about the criminel juridiction.

Supreme Court : It’s the highest court in Canada. This court can decides everything because there is nothing more powerful than this court.  

Judge : The legal officer who’s taking the decision.

Trial : Instance court. Exposition of a legal problem in front of the judge to decide who is guilty like who has the fault.

Law firm : An office where many lawyers are working to prepare their case.

Proof : A material element used to give validity of our defence.

Affidavit : A legal statement who proof the truth of a affirmation for use as evidence in court.

Quebec Court : It’s a court of first instance. This authority  has a legal competence to hear the trial of civil juridiction.

Clerk of the court : Legal officer who’s taking notes during the trial. He helps the judge to take his decision.

Witness : A person that can prove the truth of something because he sees or hears it.

Swearing : It’s the act to swear. In front of the judge, you attest that you will tell the truth.

A beautiful career !

Do you know that it’s possible to study the field of law? Yes. It’s possible, because at this moment, I am studying Paralegal Technic at Ahuntsic College. It’s a three years program. I really like this program. Essentially, I choose it because; I want to become a lawyer. I decide to do this technical program than doing a general program because for me, it was so long waiting to study law only at the university. In Quebec, to become a lawyer, you have to do a baccalaureate in law during three year. Finally, you have to do the ‘Barreau du Québec’ for one year.

However, you can become paralegal only with this three year program. Certainly, a paralegal plays an important role in the justice administration. Without a paralegal, a lawyer wouldn’t be able to do an effective work. Team work is so important because they are working in collaboration. A paralegal is helping the lawyer for many tasks, for example, for the preparation of the cases by doing research, by writing a lot legal procedures, by filing documents in the court report. Most of the research is on the jurisprudence (court decisions) and the doctrine to find books that explain how we apply the law with the facts of our case. The preparation, that the paralegal do, is essential to the trial because otherwise the lawyer wouldn’t be able to defend correctly his client. Also paralegals assist the lawyer at the trial.

A paralegal most aware that the beginning when you finish school, it would difficult to find a job because you need experience. You can’t decide where you will work so you must take the chance that the lawyer firm give you to get some experience. We call this period ‘critical years’. You will work everywhere with minimal responsibilities. Working conditions will not be good; you should be expected to work up to 90 hours a week. You will always be under the lawyer’s supervision. However, you have to keep confidence and you need to be persistent because it will not be like this all the time.

After the critical period, you will certainly have more responsibilities. You should have more tasks than before. Also, when you built your experience, it could be possible that you get some advancement opportunities. Don’t forget that you need to do update on every change about the law because this profession is rapidly expanding area. There is always something new about this field. Finally, you must in mind that you play a significant role in the lawyer’s work.

The first goal of this website is to help the public to understand our system of civil justice. This organization gives a lot of information about law, our rights and your obligations. Sometimes, you have a little problem and you don’t know what to do but you don’t want to pay $400 (four hundred box) to have legal advice. At this point, everyone should resolve there problems with this website.

When you are on the website, you can start your research by looking every field of law. With these fields of law, you have to tell you this question « My problem is amounting to witch fields of law.» With this information you can find some specific informations about every problem that a citizen can resole by him-self.

But you don’t have enough information about your subject. The second solution is to find the law, witch is associated to your field of law.

To find a law :

Step 1 : click on the  Services and resources on the navigation menu

Step 2 : You have to scroll down the page and choose Find a law or a court decision

Step 3 : Click on the blue link

Before doing the research you have to know if it’s a federal or a provincial law.

But you don’t know in witch jurisdiction your law is. So, find it by trial and error.

Step 4: Click on the first link under the number 1). You will be on a federal website. You will have a text box where you can write the most important word of the law you want to find. If you find nothing, you will know that’s probably a provincial law.

Step 5: If it’s not a federal law, click on the second link under the number 2). You will be on a provincial website. After, click on the link named List of law. Find the keyword of the law that you research. All the keywords are grouped by their first letter for instance if you want to find the adoption act, you simply have to look under the rubric of the letter A.

So now, you will be able to find every legal information that you need to resolve your problems.

3 Reasons to Study Paralegal!

Before starting to show you how paralegal is a wonderful field of study, you need to know what's paralegal. Paralegal technologies is the study of the law and the civilizan rights. With this field of study you can become a lawyer, a paralegal, a clerk, bailiff, and a lawyer or a notary if you continue  to the university.

 1. A place in the world

You must study law because there are a lot of right that you have like a civilizan that you will never know and also there are a lot of rules that you should respect otherwise you will have problems with justice. You will have the feeling that you really take your place in society. The justice system is a level of government essential for our politics system.

 2. Help people

You will always help people and often they will be as desesparate as the others. You will be very important for your client because you will become a resource for them. So, you will develop a good feeling about helping people because after your meeting with your client they will feel in security and not alone with theirs problems. They will be more serene. You will have the impression that you accomplish always some little miracles.

3. A lot of money

For some people, the third reason will be more important than all the others. You will have a good financial situation. When you work in the field of law, you will make much more money than a lot of people. Also, we need to count all the advantages that you will have because you will be a member of gorvenement officer. But in this job you shouldn’t count your overtime because there is always something on your desk that you need to be finished for tomorrow.



Finally, believe in you and take a chance to build your future. Law was there yesterday, today and for sure it will be there tomorrow. So, you don’t have to be afraid to lost your job if you do it well. Indisputably, paralegal assure you success and a beautiful life.

Your second paragraph will come under a heading. The headings should be short general statements that the paragraph below will explain. Use your imagination or research you have found online to support the general statement in the heading. If you use other people's information, do not quote. Paraphrase the idea and give the source in parentheses like this (link). There is a button on your tool bar above with the label "Link" that you can use. Simply select the text you want to link with your mouse and click that button. Copy and paste the URL or the website where you found the information.

2. Your second heading goes here

Notice that headings should be parallel. In this context, the word parallel does not mean "two lines that never meet." Instead parallel means that you should repeat the grammatical structure. If number one is a question, number two should be a question unless you have a good reason not to use a question.

3. Your third heading goes here

Three reasons are enough to write a successful listicle. If your supporting paragraphs are short and you have more reasons, by all means write extra headings and paragraphs. If you look up at the tool bar on Blogger, you will see that there is a dropdown menu with the following choices. Heading, Subheading, Minor subheading, and Normal. Use "Normal" for your paragraphs and "Heading" for your paragraph headings. To add a new heading, start with a number and period followed by a short sentence stating with a capital (uppercase) letter. Select it with your mouse and then select "Heading" from the dropdown menu. Hit return and Blogger will automatically default back to "Normal" so that you can write a paragraph below it.

4. Add images

Here is a problem. Most people will simply use images they find online. If the image is copyrighted, that is not allowed even if you provide the source. It is much better to use public domain or copyleft images. One great source is commons.wikimedia.org, an organization related to Wikipedia. Wikimedia has a huge repository of free to use or free to use with attribution images. Use the search bar and follow the directions for using those images.

Conclusion

You don't need a conclusion, but it is always nice to see one at the end of an article. A conclusion helps the reader know what you were trying to do and can include a call to action that could help you get your message out. Why not invite readers to comment. If people comment, it helps to demonstrate that your blog post is engaging, something that will make it more attractive to advertisers. Make sure to right-click on your text editor in compose mode and set your spell-checker to English.
